Is education the creativity killer?

Here at Futuredemics, we constantly explore the future of education. When in a future mindset, we always picture a better future. However, are we headed in the right direction? Sometimes, it seems are at a standstill. In the video below, Sir Ken Robinson explores why we’re stuck in the public education rut.

The lecture is by Sir Ken Robinson, an author and creativity advocate who challenges rethinking school systems. The illustrations are by the Royal Society for the encouragement of the Arts, manufactures and commerce (RSA), which produces many videos and champions efforts that serve as a push for a 21st century enlightenment.

Is our education system and standardized testing killing creativity and open-minded thinking? How can we teach without limiting a child’s creative thought process?
